New England Registers Drop in Gasoline Prices
A bit more of a drop at the pumps this past week in New England.
According to the latest survey by GasBuddy.com, gas prices in Maine fell almost a nickel over the last week to an average $2.78 a gallon. Monday morning, prices at most gas outlets in Presque Isle were $2.95 a gallon.
In New Hampshire, pump prices dropped 1.7 cents a gallon to an average $2.75, while in Vermont, the average price was $2.85 a gallon. That was a decrease of 2.8 cents a gallon.
GasBuddy also showed the national average dropped by 2.9 cents a gallon in the past week to $2.81 a gallon. That's a decrease of 6.6 cents in the lat month, but still is 35.6 cents higher than last year at this time.
