A 35-year-old man was sentenced to 2 years and 3 months for drug trafficking in Maine.
Sentenced to 27 Months with Three Years of Supervised Releases
Francis Mezan was given 27 months with three years of supervised release. He was charged with distributing cocaine and cocaine base. Mezan pleaded guilty on April 8, 2025.

Cooperating Source Made Drug Buys
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said “a cooperating source working with law enforcement purchased cocaine and cocaine base from Mezan on three separate occasions.”
Drug Purchases were Recorded and Monitored
The purchases were made between July 18, 2024 and September 5, 2024 and were recorded and monitored by law enforcement.
Lead Investigators
The lead investigators in the case were the FBI, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Portland Police Department.
