📺 Live from New York... it’s Maine’s own!

Get ready to show a little pride, when a Mainer takes the stage on a little program you may have heard of.

Maine-born alt-pop artist Role Model, has been confirmed as the musical guest for this weekends episode of Saturday Night Live, marking his official debut on the iconic sketch comedy show, which kicked off Season 51, last weekend, with the currently super controversial, Bad Bunny.

The singer-songwriter, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, hails from Cape Elizabeth and has gained a loyal following for his emotionally honest lyrics and genre-blending sound.

He originally started out as a rapper, before transitioning into the melodic, driven pop music that he's known for today.

In interviews, he often mentions his Maine roots and how growing up here shaped his early outlook, before he moved to pursue music.

His latest album "Kansas Anymore" was released last year.

He’ll appear alongside SNL legend, Amy Poehler, who will return to Studio 8H to host for the first time since 2010.

Role Model has performed in venues around the U.S., including festivals, and on The Tonight Show, and just a few weeks ago, he appeared on The Today Show.

His performance on October 11th, is kind of a big deal, because, believe it or not, only Nick Noonan, who grew up in Old Town, has been the featured musical guest on SNL. He was one half of the duo Karmin, who took the stage, back in 2012.
