If you have lived in Maine for any amount of time, especially during the winter months, you're likely no stranger to the town plow guy whacking your mailbox off into the stratosphere every other time it snows.

Now, to be clear, I'm not calling out your town's awesome plow guy. As a former town plow guy myself, I know the crazy hours that the guys and girls work during a long winter storm.

And, to be fair, not all mailboxes are placed at the proper height or the proper distance away from the road. Well, as I was scrolling through Facebook the other night, I came across this handy dandy graphic from the Maine Department of Transportation that explained the proper measurement for your mailbox.

However, they didn't do it in imperial or metric... instead, they did it in whoopie pies. No, seriously, see below.

Now I couldn't just leave this be at whoopie pies. I was dying to know what other 'Maine' items we could convert this math into. So with the help of my Chat GPT subscription (yes, I pay for premium, sue me!) I was able to some quick conversion math.
