A 24-year-old woman pleaded guilty to assaulting a U.S. Border Patrol Agent engaged in his official duties in Washington, Maine.
Woman Pleaded Guilty in a Court of Law
Olivia Wilkins from Thomaston entered the plea on Monday in U.S. District Court in Portland.
Border Patrol Responded to Crash in 2025
The incident happened after the border patrol agent responded to a single-vehicle crash in August 2025.
Woman Parked Vehicle Close to Officers During Investigation
Wilkins parked her vehicle close to the officers as they were doing a roadside investigation related to the crash.
Women "Voiced Concerns" About Border Patrol in the Area
Police said Wilkins "voiced concerns" regarding Border Patrol’s presence in the area, according to court records.
Woman Continued to Observe Law Enforcement
She was permitted to move the vehicle further back from the crash to continue observing law enforcement.

Person at the Scene Taken into Custody
The Agent took a person into custody at the scene and was putting them in a Border Patrol vehicle.
Accelerated Towards Border Patrol Agent
“Wilkins quickly accelerated toward the agent, who pulled the individual off the roadside away from the oncoming vehicle,” said the United States Attorney’s Office.

Swerved into Travel Lane and Fled From Police
“Wilkins stopped the vehicle without striking either the agent or the individual in custody before swerving back into the lane of travel and fleeing the scene,” according to the Department of Justice.
Maine State Police Arrested Woman
She was apprehended by Maine State Police Troopers right after and transported to jail.
