Maine CDC COVID-19 Update
The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports 133 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday. There were 17 deaths in the state.
- There are 46,059 confirmed cases.
- 12,859 have recovered from the virus in Maine.
- The number of people who have died from COVID-19 is 723.
Officials said because it takes time to confirm whether a death is related to COVID-19, not all of those deaths likely occurred in the past 24 hours.
Aroostook County has a total of 1,296 confirmed cases. Two-hundred-fifty-seven people have recovered with 60 hospitalization. There have been 44 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
