Key Dates to Remember for the Marketplace Insurance
Open Enrollment for 2020 health coverage has begun. People who wish to shop for insurance in the Marketplace have some key dates to keep in mind this year.
Open enrollment began back on November 1st and will end on December 15, 2019, so you will need to act by then. If you don't, you will have to wait until the next open enrollment period to apply for coverage.
As Health Care Navigator at Aroostook County Action Program (ACAP) Stanley Targonski explains, health insurance plans in the Marketplace can be very affordable. “We encourage individuals and families to contact us to see what plan is best for them”.
ACAP is a partner in a statewide network of certified Health Insurance Marketplace Navigators and is part of the Community Action Navigator Consortium. Navigators are not affiliated with any insurance company so they can provide fair and unbiased advice and provide free in-person assistance to help you apply for and enroll in coverage. Navigators also can help you gain access to programs that could lower your monthly health premiums and out-of pocket costs. Your personal information is protected and will never be shared with anyone.
