A 31-year-old man was in ICE custody after a woman died following a crash in Lewiston.

Lionel Francisco from Angola was taken into custody after the crash. The Lewiston Police Department said he only had a learner’s permit.
Car Jumped the Curb and Hit Pedestrian
Elizabeth Camacho from Massachusetts was hit Friday as she was walking along Park Street near Kennedy Park. The car jumped the curb and struck her.
Woman Died from Injuries
She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and airlifted to Portland. She later died at Maine Medical Center, said WGME News.
Passenger in ICE Custody
A passenger with Francisco was also apprehended by ICE for immigration violations.
