Gas Prices on the Rise Again
Prices at the pumps continue their upward climb around New England.
According to the latest survey from GasBuddy.com, the national average rose slightly in the past week to $2.48 a gallon. That's 1.7 cents higher than a month ago and 11.9 cents higher than at this time last year.
Mainers saw the price at the pump go up in the last week 1.7 cents to $2.51 a gallon on average. Most stations in Presque Isle on Tuesday were reporting a price of $2.72 a gallon.
Gas in New Hampshire rose 2 cents a gallon to an average of $2.46. And, like Maine, Vermont's gas prices went up 1.7 cents to an average $2.54 a gallon.
