Emera Maine crews are investigating a power outage Friday morning affecting more than 1,800 customers in Caribou and nearby communities.

Spokesperson Judy Long said in a news release that crews will work to safely restore service as quickly as possible.

The public is reminded to never touch a downed power line or a tree in contact with a downed line. Motorists are urged to slow down or move over and change lanes, when possible, if approaching utility crews working on roadways. ~ Emera Maine
