One person was found dead Saturday night after a house fire in Caribou.
One Person Died in House Fire
Caribou Fire & Ambulance responded to the call around 10:28 pm at 32 Hillcrest Avenue.
Body Found in Home
Firefighters “encountered heavy fire inside the structure. During suppression and search efforts, one victim was found deceased inside the home.”
Fought Fire for Hours
Crews battled the blaze for several hours with mutual aid from Presque Isle Fire Department and Limestone Vol. Fire Department.
Fire Under Investigation
The Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire. Officials were on the scene.
