If you're planning on drinking and driving this upcoming Labor Day weekend, you might want to think again.

The Fort Fairfield Police Department would like to inform all motorists that there will be drunk driving checkpoints throughout Fort Fairfield on Friday, September 4th.

According to Chief Bill Campbell, areas of focus will be but are not limited to, Route1A, Route 167, North Caribou Road, and South Caribou Road.

This checkpoint is part of a High Visibility OUI Enforcement grant sponsored by the Bureau of Highway Safety.

If your going to drink, have a designated driver.
