Another Dip in Gas Prices to Begin the New Year
Once again, the price of gas has fallen around New England in the past week.
According to GasBuddy.com, prices at the pump in Maine dropped 3.6 cents a gallon to an average $2.25 a gallon. Prices at most stations in Presque Isle, as of Monday morning, were $2.42 a gallon.
Next door in New Hampshire, pumps showed a price drop of 3.5 cents a gallon to an average of $2.35 a gallon while its neighbor, Vermont, saw gas go down 3.9 cents a gallon to $2.46 on average.
Gas nationwide fell 3 cents a gallon in the last week to an average $2.22. That's a drop of 19.9 cents a gallon in the last month and 26 cents a gallon cheaper than a year ago.
