The West District RCMP is asking for help in identifying whoever is responsible for discharging a firearm at a residence in Holmesville, N.B. Saturday evening injuring an occupant.

Just before 8 p.m., the Woodstock RCMP responded to a call of shots being fired on Doherty Road, according to Corporal Mathieu Gallienne. Police say a woman who was inside the home was injured. She was transported to hospital for treatment. There’s no word on her condition.

A blue sedan was seen leaving the area shortly afterwards, the RCMP said on Monday.
