Woman Died and Man Pinned in Vehicle after Head-On Crash in Maine
A 24-year-old woman died and a 28-year-old man was seriously injured Thursday after a head-on collision on Route 1 in Woolwich.
One Dead and One Injured after Head-On Crash
Margaret J. Daniel from Lewisburg, PA died at the scene from extensive injuries.
Deputies said Woman was Passing Vehicles
The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office said “Daniel’s vehicle was passing several vehicles when the collision occurred and speed is a contributing factor.”
Injured Man Extricated from Vehicle
Colby Brown from Old Orchard Beach was pinned in his vehicle and had to be extricated. Brown had multiple broken bones and was flown by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center.
Road Closed for Hours
The road was closed for up to four hours. The crash is under investigation.
