The opening reception for her show “CoExist:  Meditations on Mother Earth” will be held on April 7, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, during the First Friday Downtown Art Walk.

Refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to the public.

The celebration and symbolism of Earth Day is a central theme in Trombley’s April show at Wintergreen.

“My focus is to grab the viewer’s attention by presenting controversial topics within abstract imagery,” Trombley said, “allowing the de-coding of the image up to each individual.”

Trombley is a native of Presque Isle, and an abstract artist who is slowly emerging locally in her hometown.  She studied online at the Academy of Art University, and after the birth of her first daughter, started working intensely on developing her artistic ‘voice’ and exploring different themes and elements within her work.

Trombley’s work can be found publically and privately within Maine, and has been seen in various local exhibitions such as previously at the Wintergreen Arts Center, and as the featured artist at The Aroostook Medical Center.  Several pieces of her commission-based work are owned and displayed by local businesses.

Trombley, her husband, and two daughters currently live in Presque Isle, where she works out of her home studio.
