Wilton Man Arrested for Possession of Fentanyl
A Wilton man has been arrested by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency after getting off the train in downtown Brunswick Tuesday afternoon with 1200 doses of Fentanyl.
32 year old James Young-Dumont is charged with:
- Aggravated Trafficking in a Scheduled W Drugs (Fentanyl) Class A
- Warrant of Arrest, Failure to Appear in Court
- Violation of Bail
Tuesday at about 4:30 pm, MDEA agents from the Mid-Coast District Task Force and Brunswick Police arrested Young-Dumont as he arrived from Haverhill, Massachusetts on the AMTRAK train to Brunswick. Young-Dumont had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear in Ellsworth court for a Possession of Schedule Drugs charge. He was also free on bail for that charge.
Young-Dumont attempted to run from officers as he got off the train but was quickly taken into custody. Agents located 120 grams (1,200 doses) of Fentanyl in Young-Dumont’s pocket with a street value of $20,000.
Young-Dumont was also on probation in Massachusetts for a previous drug charge and had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Massachusetts for Probation Violation.
Agents had information that Young-Dumont frequently traveled to Haverhill on the train to purchase Heroin/Fentanyl in bulk then return to Maine where he would repackage the drugs for resale.
Young-Dumont was transported to the Cumberland County Jail where no bail was set due to his bail violation.
