The Hope & Justice Project: Walk It Up, Presque Isle, took place today around downtown, then ending at the Turner Memorial Library.

If you saw over one-hundred people dressed in purple on a leisurely walk down Main Street around lunchtime it was to bring awareness to domestic abuse and sexual violence in the community. Before the walk there was a story time for children and lunch was provided. The groups message is one of empowerment and looking at the attendance they got the message that our community does not tolerate domestic abuse and sexual violence very much across.
