Two Deputies Join the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office [PHOTO]

Two new Deputies have joined the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Sheriff Michael DeLena and Deputy Sheriff Isaac Ward both come from local police departments in the County.

Sheriff Shawn Gillian gives the Deputies bios:

Deputy DeLena comes to the Sheriff’s Office from the Fort Kent Police Department where he spent 5 years as a full-time officer and 5 years as a reserve officer. He resides in Eagle Lake and will be tasked with patrolling the Route 11 corridor which includes the unorganized territories of Aroostook County.

Deputy Ward comes to us after serving the Presque Isle Police Department for the last 4 years as a full-time officer. He resides in Presque Isle and will patrol central Aroostook County.

Both men come to the Sheriff’s Office with specialized training and experience which will be an asset to the patrol division.

The positions at the Sheriff’s Office were open after Deputy Corey Saucier & Deputy Roy Guidry took detective assignments at the Sheriff’s Office in January.

Both detectives will investigate domestic violence in the County. Detective Saucier will focus on the northern half of Aroostook County while Detective Guidry works in the southern areas, said Sheriff Gillian.
