In this 'hurry-up' life that we currently lead, even the most structured of working environments involve some sort of multi-tasking. Most people think that all I do is play songs on the radio, answer phone calls and tell you the weather. That's not even a quarter of my job. Most times I'm doing other things while I'm on the air. I shouldn't be, but that's the world we live in now. Isn't it?

I'm trying to think of a current job that doesn't involve multi-tasking. Even a factory worker who only has one task, has to worry about multiple facets of that task. However, some research shows that when we multi-task it really causes inefficiency. It can take longer to complete things and the end result is usually not as good as it could be. God bless the stay-at-home parents, the hardest job in the world.

So today is 'National Single-Tasking Day.' Do everything in your power to stay with one task at a time until it's completed. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go fly a plane, I mean rub my tummy and tap my head, I mean run a radio show. Are you of the single-tasking nature? Tell us on Facebook.
