14-Year-Old Shot Twice and Seriously Injured in Maine

A 14-year-old male was seriously injured after being shot two times in Lewiston.

Teen Shot Twice

The Lewiston Police Department said officers searched an area near Hill View Apartments around 2:30 am Saturday. “Despite their efforts, no evidence of a shooting was initially found.”

Gunshots to the Leg

The teen was later located after approaching a residence with two gunshot wounds to his leg.

Taken to Hospital with Wounds

He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center and then transported to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

Video Showed Suspects and Victim Flee

Police reviewed surveillance footage and said all those involved had fled the scene before officers arrived.

Firearm Seized after Warrant

A firearm was later located after a search warrant was executed at the apartment complex.
