Two men were seriously injured after a propane explosion in Farmington.

Two Men had Severe Burns

The Maine Department of Public Safety said 68-year-old Mike Warren and 62-year-old Jon Bubier were inside a residence on Moore Avenue when the explosion happened around 10:21 am Saturday.

Explosion Happened while Cleaning Mobile Home Park

“The two were reportedly cleaning the property, located within a mobile home park and owned by Bubier,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer.

Flown by LifeFlight to Hospital

Both men were seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were then flown by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Cause of Explosion

“Preliminary information suggests a propane explosion, though the exact cause remains under investigation by the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office,” said Moss.
