The nurses have been without a contract since July 7 and announced the two-day strike after several months of negotiations. Between 30-40 nurses were on the picket line along Academy Street throughout the day Friday and plan to return Saturday, rain or shine.Nurses plan to return to the job on Sunday.

TAMC, meanwhile, has hired temporary replacement nurses to ensure that care continues, uninterrupted during the strike.
