The University of Maine at Presque Isle athletic fields will be the site for the annual Soccer Shoot penalty kicking contest of the Presque Isle Elks, Lodge #1954, Sunday, September 24, at 10:00 a.m..

The theme for the 2017 Crown of Maine Balloonfest Street Fair on Main Street in Presque Isle on Thursday, August 24, is “New Energy on Main Street”, according to event chair Alan Harding of the Presque Isle Elks, Lodge #1954, sponsors of the street fair.

The Presque Isle Elks, Lodge is proud once again to host the July 4th Community Celebration at Riverside Park on this Independence Day.

Following the Presque Isle Elks Hoop Shoot foul shooting contest held on Sunday, January 8, six area youth will now advance to the Northern District Elks Hoop Shoot to be held on Sunday, January 15, at the James F. Doughty School in Bangor.

The Presque Isle Elks extend an invitation to anyone in the area who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day to join the Elks family at noon on Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25, at the Presque Isle Elks Lodge at 508 Main Street in Presque Isle for a traditional, sit-down Christmas dinner.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hayward-Frazier Post #2599, in cooperation with the Presque Isle Elks, Lodge #1954, the Aroostook Shrine Club, Crown Ambulance Service, and the Presque Isle Fire Department are teaming up to again provide a Thanksgiving-style dinner with live musical entertainment, free of charge, to all Veterans, current military service personnel and their families.

Army Sgt. Justin Good, son of Presque Isle Elk Larry Good and Diane Good, is a member of a United States Army task force currently deployed in Iraq with a twenty-member company.

Red Ribbon Week is one of the oldest drug abuse prevention campaigns of this nation.  Celebrated during the last week of October, Red Ribbon Week is an occasion for individuals and organized groups to publicity express their commitment to living a drug-free life and to help others achieve their goal of living drug free.

Approximately two hundred eager young anglers, together with their siblings, parents, and grandparents, attended the annual “Hooked on Fishing, Not Drugs” Fishing Derby.

William Sewall, chairman of the Presque Isle Elks, Lodge #1954, Hoop Shoot Program, announced the results from that competition held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Wieden Gymnasium.
