A 21-year-old man was sentenced 10 years in prison for Manslaughter after the death of a 22-year-old man in Waterville.

Initially Charged with Murder

Tyler Quirion was initially charged with Murder and Possession of a firearm by a prohibited Person. He pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in April 2025.

Sentenced to 25 Years with All But 10 years Suspended

Quirion was sentenced to 25 years with all but 10 years suspended. He will have four years of probation after he's released.

Shot Several Times

Quirion was charged with the death of Justin Iraola on February 19, 2024. Quirion shot Iraola several times with a 9 mm handgun on Grove Street in Waterville, according to WGME News.

Trying to Intervene in a Fight

Court records said Iraola was allegedly trying to intervene during a fight at a party.
