‘Selfie’ is Now in the Oxford Dictionary [PHOTO]

As Carly Simon's classic song is rolling through my head I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that the word 'Selfie' is now in the Oxford Dictionary.  How's that song go again?

'You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you.'  Yeah that's it.  In this social media-infested world we live in the 'selfie' is reflective of our current culture.  Look at me.  Look how good-looking I am.  Aren't I pretty?  No, seriously, look below and check me out.  Look above too.  Hell, I'm posting two 'selfies' to celebrate this grand event.

Oxford Dictionary's definition - "a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website: occasional selfies are acceptable, but posting a new picture of yourself everyday isn’t necessary." Yes, it actually says the last line in  italics.
