A dangerous situation at a pub on Main Street in Presque Isle overnight was brought to a safe ending.  According to the Presque Isle Police Department, officers responded to reports of a man with a loaded gun at Bou's Brew Pub shortly after midnight.

Presque Isle and State Police arrived to find that employees had subdued the man outside the bar and had taken the loaded firearm from him.

32-year-old Wayne Boulier, Jr. of Presque Isle was arrested without incident.  PIPD Sgt. Eric Erickson and Cpl. Wayne Selfridge took the suspect into custody with the assistance of Maine State Police Troopers Rob Flynn and Nick Casavant.

Boulier was arrested on an outstanding warrant and numerous other charges, including: possessing a firearm in a liquor establishment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, unlawful possession of schedule Z drug and violating condition of release.

Boulier was unable to make bail.

The Presque Isle Police Department commended the staff of Bou's Brew Pub for how they resolved this potentially dangerous situation.
