
One Person Pinned & Seriously Injured after Crash in Maine
One person was seriously injured Wednesday after a two-vehicle and a pedestrian was hit in Weston.
Commercial Vehicle and Farm Truck Crash
The Aroostook County Sheriff's Office said a commercial vehicle and a farm truck collided on Route 1. They crashed into a guardrail where a pedestrian was sitting.
Person Pinned by Vehicle
“The pedestrian was pinned by one of the vehicles and eventually freed,” said Sheriff Peter Johnson. The pedestrian was seriously injured and airlifted by LifeFlight to Eastern Maine Medical Center.
Alcohol and Drugs Not Factors
“Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash,” said Sheriff Johnson. The investigation is ongoing.
Multi-Agency Investigation
Assisting the Sheriff's Office was the Presque Isle Police Department, Danforth Ambulance, Northern Washington/Southern Aroostook Ambulance Service, Danforth Fire, the Maine State Police Commercial Motor Vehicles Unit and Life Flight.
