A police officer and a K-9 were injured Saturday night after a two-vehicle crash in Windham.

Cruiser Hit by SUV and Officer and K-9 Injured and Taken to the Hospital

The Windham Police Department said the officer and K-9 were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

Officer and K-9 Treated at Hospital and Later Released

The officer and K-9 were later released from the hospital and were reported to be recovering at home.

SUV Involved in Crash had No Reported Injuries After Crash at Intersection

No other injuries were reported in the SUV after the crash at the intersection of Route 302 and Route 35.

Officer and K-9 in Cruiser When Crash Happened

Both the officer and K-9 were in the cruiser when the collision occurred.

Airbags were deployed in both vehicles during the crash, according to Windham PD.
