There is much to be said when you can get about 100 youngsters together to put on a stellar performance, then you've won. That happened this past weekend.

The crowd at the Forum in Presque Isle got a real treat with the stellar performance of Disney's 'Moana' by the Northern Maine Figure Skating Club on Saturday.

The skaters and their colorful costumes helped to bring out the action-packed story of Moana, a daring teenager who sets sail, encounters various monsters and overcomes impossible odds in order to save her people and finds her true identity in the process.

As soon as you stepped foot into the arena of ice, you knew it was going to be a good show as seen by the colorful and creative backdrops, lights and sailboat prop.

Skaters with various skill levels participated in the show.

Everyone from the very beginner to the most advanced skater, all helped to collectively bring the story of Moana to life in a fun and entertaining way!

Hats off to Club Director and Coach, Katie Griffin and staff for a wonderful performance.

If you missed it this year, be sure to catch their performance next year. You can keep up with the club on Facebook here.
