N.E. Gas Prices Make Small Downward Dip
Prices at the pump around New England have dropped slightly.
Gas prices here in Maine edged down seven-tenths of a penny in the last week, to an average of $2.55 a gallon. That's according to the latest survey by GasBuddy.com. Most stations in Presque Isle showed a price of $2.71 a gallon Tuesday morning.
Gas in Vermont fell 2.5 cents over the last week, also to an average $2.55 a gallon like Maine.
New Hampshire's pump prices dipped marginally by six-tenths of a cent to $2.51 a gallon on average.
The national average price rose by 8.9 cents a gallon since last week to $2.55 a gallon, which is 8.8 cents a gallon over last month's price and 40.4 cents higher than a year ago at this time.
