People from across the country and around the world love to come to Maine. U-Haul has the figures that show more people are moving to the Pine Tree State.

Not sure if you think it's a good thing or a bad thing that the state of Maine has been increasing in population, with more and more people moving here.

According to the popular self-moving company U-haul, Maine ranks 6th in the nation, among top 10 U.S. Growth States. And the numbers don't lie.

Maine held the number nine spot for quite a few years but has now made its way to number six on the charts in 2015. According to the report, 2016 saw a spike of eight-percent of year-over-year, one-way arrivals with U-haul trucks.

In 2016, the cities in Maine that seemed to see the most growth were Brunswick, Saco, Waterville, and Auburn. They made up about 51 and a half percent of the growth.

Another New England state ranked in the to 10 also. Vermont came in at number 9.
