One man was found dead Sunday morning and another man was seriously wounded after police received multiple 911 calls for gunshots in Corinth.

Critically Wounded Man from Gunshot Wound

The Maine State Police found a man seriously wounded outside the residence at 272 Main Street. He was given life-saving measures at the scene and flown by LifeFlight to the hospital in critical condition.

Dead Body Found

“Troopers made entry into a nearby apartment believed to be connected to the incident. Inside, they discovered a deceased male,” said the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Autopsy Conducted

His body was taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy. The man was identified as 46-year-old Scott Roberts from Glenburn.

Cause and Manner of Death

The autopsy results confirmed the cause of death to be a gunshot wound and the death was ruled a homicide.

Isolated Incident and No Public Risk

Police said no one has been arrested and believe the incident is isolated with no risk to the public.
