Man Thrown from ATV and Died after Rollover Crash in Maine

A 52-year-old man died Friday night after an ATV crash in Vassalboro.

Man Died after Hitting a Rock and ATV Crash

Cobey Schmidt from Vassalboro was pronounced dead at the scene around 8 pm.

Man was Thrown from the ATV from the Impact and the Vehicle Rolled on Top

Maine wardens said he hit a rock and was thrown from the ATV. The vehicle then rolled on top of him.

Pronounced Dead at the Scene of the Accident

The Maine State Police and Emergency Medical Services responded and found Schmidt dead.

Man was Riding Alone

Officials said he was reportedly riding alone.
