
Man Sentenced to 75 Months for Firearms Possession in Maine
A 34-year-old man was sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison for being a felon in possession of firearms and possessing stolen firearms.
Sentenced to 75 Months in Prison
Christopher Tucker from Topsham was given 75 months and three years of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Nancy Torresen. He pleaded guilty on March 19, 2025.
Reports of Suspicious Activity
Court records said the Brunswick Police Department responded to calls about suspicious activity at a neighbor’s residence in May 2024.
Gun Cabinets Pried Open and Ammo Scattered
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said “officers found that the door of the residence’s garage was open and cabinets inside appeared to have been pried open, with ammunition scattered on the floor.”
Vehicle Located Related to Theft
A vehicle was later located that matched the description given by a witness. Tucker was the owner of the vehicle.

Suspect Fled on Foot and Arrested
When police approached, he fled on foot. He was apprehended a short time later after a manhunt and was taken into custody.
20 Stolen Firearms Seized from Vehicle
Police recovered 20 stolen firearms from the residence inside the vehicle. He was prohibited from having a firearm after several prior felony convictions.
Lead Investigators in the Case
Investigating the case was the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Brunswick Police Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
