
Man Missing from Halfway House Crashed Head-On in Maine
A 39-year-old man was arrested and charged after fleeing the scene of a three-vehicle crash with injuries in Naples.
Man Missing from Federal Halfway House
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said Joshua Morin had been reported missing from a federal correctional halfway house in Portland.
Suspect Speeding and Crashed
Morin was driving a Chevy Malibu at a high rate of speed when he crashed on Route 302 and Saw Mill Lane around 7 pm Sunday.
Two People Injured in Second Vehicle
Morin collided head-on with a Subaru and two people were seriously injured.
Person Injured in Third Vehicle Involved in Crash
A third vehicle then hit the Subaru and one more person was injured.

Man Fled on Foot and Refused to Submit to Arrest
Morin fled the scene on foot. Deputies located him at the end of a dock. He refused to comply for over an hour.
Crisis Negotiator Talked with Suspect
A crisis negotiator communicated with Morin and he was taken into custody.

Taken to County Jail and Charged with OUI
Morin was transported to County Jail and booked. He faces charges for Operating Under the Influence of Drugs and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

Additional charges are possible, said the Sheriff’s Office.
