The driver who was killed when his pickup truck crashed into a logging truck on the Golden Road, a 96-mile private logging road, has been identified.

The man was identified as 33-year old Martin A. Qualey of Sherman, according to the Bangor Daily News.

Officials said Qualey was following another truck and didn't see the logging truck parked along the road because a cloud of dust restricted his visibility.

The accident happened Monday morning about 39 miles out on the Golden road west of Baxter State Park.
