Maine Uses Overtime To Get 3rd Win
A strong shooting performance in overtime led the UMaine men;s basketball team to a 98-95 win over Quinnipiac Tuesday night.The Bears made 4 of their 5 shots in overtime and went a perfect 9 for 9 at the free throw line while improving their overall record to 3-9 on the season.
Kevin Little and Till Gloger led four Black Bears in double figures with 20 points each. Lavar Harewood went 3 for 3 from behind the arch and finished with 16 points in the game. The Bears shot 56% from the floor as a team including 8-19 form the 3-point line.
The game featured 14 ties and 20 lead changes, 15 of those in the first half alone.
Maine will go for back-to-back wins on Saturday when they play Brown at the Cross Center.
