A Maine man, who is already serving time for felony charges, has gained two more charges in connection with his current case by law enforcement.

Public Information Officer Stephen McCausland for the Maine State Police states that 33-year old Robert Boggia, of Washinton County, was charged Tuesday with conspiracy to commit arson and murder while still in jail.

According to the report, Boggia has been held in lieu of bail since February of this year on numerous felony charges, to include burglary, robbery, and gross sexual assault.

Troopers who have been working with the MDEA and the Washington Sheriff's Office reviewed new information this past week that Boggia wanted to kill a witness who is involved with his case.

Fire investigators have stated a case against Boggia, following a fire at his former home in 2013 in Blue Hill.

The report went on to say that Boggia's house was destroyed in the fire and, as a result, the two new felony charges were added on Tuesday and that Boggia was notified of the new charges while still in jail.

Boggia is due to stand before a judge on the latest charges this week and has been in jail since February of this year following a manhunt for him in Hancock and Washington counties, according to the report.
