Eric Saindon served as a visual effects supervisor on ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash,’ which took home the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects during Sunday night’s televised ceremony.
It marks his second Oscar win, after previously earning the same honor in 2023 for his work on ‘Avatar: The Way of Water.’

Saindon has built an incredible résumé over the past few decades, working on some of the biggest films in the industry and earning visual effects nominations along the way.
His credits include other major titles like ‘The Green Knight,’ ‘Pete’s Dragon,’ ‘Alita: Battle Angel,’ and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, with more than 10 Academy Awards going to films he’s worked on.
