I read not too long ago, or maybe I saw it on my browser, or was it the T.V. News – anyway, people are leaving facebook in droves because they’re just now realizing what a detriment to your mental health it can be. I would even argue that it can affect your physical well-being as well, since you are usually sitting somewhere while you’re reading what people are making for dinner. How many are guilty of this? I know I am.

One study suggested that the site creates a negativity that can grow like a fungus. Think about it, here you are in your house with your family and your job that’s okay-but-not-what-you-really-want-to-do, and your viewing the facebook page of a high school friend who is living it up in Europe, or vacationing at Daytona Beach twice a year. It breeds envy, and that’s not a good thing.

Also, even more recently, people are waking up to the idea that there is so much to do, see and learn out there in the world and facebook is sucking the life out of them.
