
Man Injured & Trapped in Vehicle after Crash on I-95 in Maine
A 41-year-old man was injured and trapped in his vehicle Wednesday morning after a crash on I-95 in Waterville.
Two-Vehicle Crash as Driver Merged onto Interstate
The Maine State Police said Raymond Fenderson from Brunswick collided with another vehicle as he was merging on I-95 northbound.
Collided Head-On with Guardrail after Hitting Car
Fenderson crashed head-on into the guardrail on the median and was trapped in his vehicle.
Driver Removed from the Vehicle in 30 Minutes
He was extricated from the vehicle after about 30 minutes with the help from Waterville-Fire and Rescue.
Man Seriously Injured and Taken to the Hospital
Fenderson was seriously injured and transported to an area hospital for medical attention.
Impairment is Believed to be a Factor
“The preliminary investigation indicates impairment is a likely factor,” according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

Parts of I-95 Closed in the Area after Crash
The passing lane on I-95 was shut down in the area as crews removed him from the vehicle and cleared the wreckage.

Active Crash Investigation with No Additional Injuries
The investigation is ongoing. No other injuries were reported.
