Hand Surgeon Joins Pines Health Services
Pines CEO Jim Davis announced the most recent addition to the Pines physician staff.
Davis said, “Dr. Robert Bassett is a great addition to the area’s medical community and to the Pines Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Podiatry office located on the Cary Medical Center campus. In addition to his clinical training in Boston, Dr. Bassett has also been involved with teaching and has served hospitals in Kansas, Vermont and New Hampshire.”
With significant experience in hand, elbow, and shoulder surgery, Dr. Bassett’s specialty training bolsters this clinical area for which The County has had a significant need for many years. In addition, he diagnoses and manages general orthopedic conditions and is experienced in trauma and various diseases that affect the hand and wrist.
“Dr. Bassett and his spouse – who is also a physician and will be joining the Cary Medical Center Imaging Department - were looking for a friendly New England community that needed his specialty experience and would enable them to continue enjoying Northern New England’s beautiful four-season environment” noted Davis.
Prior to relocating to Aroostook County, Dr. Bassett attended Harvard Medical School and completed his residency at the New York Orthopaedic Hospital- Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.
Dr. Bassett will be scheduling surgery and planning cases in cooperation with Pines attending physicians and the Cary Medical Center operating room team. Office hours may be made by appointment. He begins seeing patients at the Pines Orthopedics, Sports Medicine & Podiatry office Monday, July 10th.
