Group From Maine Going Down For Allegedly Intending To Traffic Crack Cocaine
Five people from Lewiston, Maine have been arrested and were charged in U.S. District Court on Wednesday with the distribution of crack cocaine.
In a Department of Justice press release, issued on Wednesday, U.S. Attorney announced the arrest and charge of 44-year old Sylas Way, 26-year old Elijah Blake, 35-year old Keon Baptiste-Harris, 46-year old Jamie Perry, and 26-year old Davontae Perrybrooks.
According to the complaints, charges came about as a result of an investigation into crack cocaine trafficking in Lewiston.
If convicted, the 5 accused face up to 20 years in prison and fines up to $1 million.
A criminal complaint has been defined as an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
