Fort Fairfield Man Killed in Easton Rollover
A Fort Fairfield man has died after a single-vehicle rollover crash in Easton Tuesday afternoon.
State Police say 27-year-old Jamey Kennedy was driving his 2004 Toyota Matrix east on the Conant Road shortly before 4 p.m. when he lost control on a corner. The vehicle crossed the roadway, went into the ditch, became airborne and then rolled several times. Kennedy was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle into the roadway, according to Trooper Dennis Quint.
Kennedy was transported to The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle where he passed away from his injuries.
Maine State Troopers Adam Stoutamyer, Nicolas Casavant, and Dennis Quint responded to the accident. Fort Fairfield Police Department, Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office, Easton Fire Department, and Crown Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by Trooper Robert Flynn.
