Firefighters Battle Blaze for Several Hours in Oakfield, Maine
A building fire on Tuesday morning destroyed the structure on the lot of the Katahdin Forest Products in Oakfield.
Building Completely Lost after Structure Fire in Aroostook County, Maine
The blaze started around 11 am and the building was a complete loss, said Oakfield Fire Department Chief Matthew Scott.
Fire Knocked Down after Several Hours
Firefighters put out most of the fire by 2:30 pm. No injuries were reported, according to WAGM News.
Multiple Fire Departments on the Scene
Several nearby fire departments assisted including the Houlton Fire Department and more crews from Sherman, Stacyville and Island Falls.
Ongoing Fire Investigation
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
