One Man and 17-Year-Old Charged with Drug Trafficking in Maine

A 28-year-old man and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking after shots were fired on Blake Street in Lewiston.

Drug Trafficking Investigation and Shots Fired

Maslah Aliyow and the juvenile male were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed “as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking and a recent shots-fired incident,” said Lewiston PD.

Tactical Team Deployed and Drugs Seized

The Maine State Police Tactical Team was deployed due to the high level threat. Police seized 486 grams of fentanyl powder and 10 grams of cocaine powder.

Two Arrested and Charged with Drug Trafficking

Aliyow was charged with Drug Trafficking. The 17-year-old male juvenile was charged with Drug Trafficking and his involvement in a recent shooting. He was transported to the Long Creek Youth Development Center.

Additional Charges Pending

Police said more charges are possible. The investigation is active and ongoing.
