Deadly Shooting at Homeless Shelter in Southern Maine
State Police have identified a man who was fatally shot at a temporary housing facility in Brunswick, Maine.
Investigators say 40-year-old Ali Fisher, of Lisbon broke into an apartment Monday night and got into an altercation with a 22-year-old woman who had a male guest staying with her. The two men, who were both armed, ended up fighting, and both were shot. Police say Fisher left the apartment and died outside.
The other man, who was shot in the arm, was treated and released from a Brunswick hospital. Police say he will not be identified since he wasn’t charged with a crime.
Tedford Housing Director Craig Phillips said neither of the men should have been at the shelter.
