A 46-year-old man was found dead Saturday morning on the side of the Martin Stream Road in Fairfield.

Man was not Breathing and was Dead at the Scene

The man was not breathing when officers arrived. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

Police Responded to a 911 Call after Body Found

The Fairfield Police Department responded to a 911 call around 8:57 am.

Detectives and Investigators Gathering Evidence and Information

The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit Central was called as part of the investigation. Detectives and Evidence Techs were doing interviews and looking for information.

Body Identified and Taken to Medical Examiner for Autopsy

The body was identified as Jason Grant from Oakland. He was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for an autopsy.
