
Five People Charged with Drug Trafficking and Possession in Maine
Five people were arrested Wednesday and face Drug Trafficking and Possession charges after a search warrant was executed at a residence in Fairfield.
11 People Inside House
The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Division said 11 people were inside the home on Faith’s Way when Deputies and police arrived.
Drugs Seized Worth $20,000
Over 200 grams of Fentanyl and crack were seized along with controlled pills, illegal drug related documents and paraphernalia. The approximate street value of the drugs is more than $20,000.
Five Arrested and Charged
Five people were taken into custody including 38-year-old Donald Banks of New York who was charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Drug Trafficking. He also had an outstanding warrant.
Also arrested was 59-year-old Robert Irish of Fairfield who was charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Violation of Conditions of Release. Irish had two outstanding warrants.
A 43-year-old woman from Madison, Nicole Lamphere, was charged with Unlawful Drug Possession and Violation of Conditions of Release.
Two others were arrested, 39-year-old Heather Ward of Winslow and 28-year-old Justin Poirier of Norridgewock, who were both charged with Unlawful Drug Possession.
Active Drug Case
The investigation remains open and additional criminal charges are possible.
